Not all of the characters in this series are humans who've been transported. Some are animals, like the titular Poringa. The Comic Pornos (both versions) reside in this creature's eye (it looks like a giant panda). Timi is able to communicate with it via his comic book. Another recurring character is Tokkotsu, an alien who can't handle alcohol very well (he turns green after drinking too much).
